College Football’s 150th Season

As we progress through the 150th Season of College Football several things will begin to take shape, but one thing is for sure, the elite teams will gravitate to the top of the polls. The past few seasons have shown us that the Clemson University Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide are the cream of the crop. One of these two schools have emerged victorious in the National Championship Game in each of the past 4 seasons. In fact, the University of Georgia Bulldogs are the only other team to make it to the National Championship since the 2015 season. Will this year remain the same or will an underdog emerge to initiate the changing of the guard?

Several teams have a chance at a National Title this year but few of them look stronger than the Crimson Tide or the Tigers. The Ohio State Buckeyes and Oklahoma Sooners look strong on paper and return a lot of talent. Oklahoma will have to get by Texas in a huge October match-up if they want to have a shot at another College Football Playoff run. Their only remaining challenge after that rivalry game is an intrastate away test against the Oklahoma State University Cowboys. If Oklahoma can clear these 2 hurdles, we should see them in the playoff. The Ohio State University Buckeyes face a tough challenge as late season opponents Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan stand in the way of their title run. The University of Florida Gators, also looking to return the College Football Playoff, face their annual brutal gauntlet of SEC schools. Their challenge includes late season clashes against top 10 opponents Auburn, LSU, and Georgia. Speaking of the University of Georgia, the Bulldogs open the season at #3 and are a spicy pick to interrupt the Clemson/Alabama dynasty. The 2020 College Football Playoff includes the Fiesta Bowl at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and the Peach Bowl at

Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The 2020 College Football National Championship Game will be held at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA.
